ATEK Metal Technologies has successfully transitioned to the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System (QMS) standard. The ISO 9001: 2015 standard is internationally recognized and utilizes a process approach when developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of the QMS. By understanding and managing interrelated processes as a system ATEK can ensure product and process quality while focusing on customer satisfaction.

ATEK’s Quality system utilizes the AIAG APQP concepts to facilitate smooth product launches with robust processes that ensure quality of products during manufacture following the launch. Key to a successful product launch is early involvement to understand customer expectations and doing risk assessment (PFMEA) so the process controls (Control Plans) are well defined in the QMS. ATEK uses 6 Sigma and Lean methodology following the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle to drive continual improvement efforts. These concepts combined with the ISO 9001: 2015 standards provide the backbone of the QMS to meet the strict requirements of the numerous Fortune 500 customers we serve.
